Understanding Your Benefits
Orthodontic insurance coverage can vary. Here’s what you should know.
Lifetime Maximum
Most orthodontic insurance plans offer a one-time lifetime maximum benefit, typically ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. This amount is paid toward your total treatment cost.
Age Limitations
Some insurance plans only cover orthodontics for patients under a certain age (typically 19). However, many plans now include adult coverage. We’ll verify your specific plan details.
Payment Schedule
Insurance benefits are usually paid in monthly installments over the course of your treatment, not as a lump sum at the beginning.
Coordination of Benefits
If you or your child is covered under multiple insurance plans, we can help coordinate benefits to maximize your coverage.
Not sure about your coverage? Call us with your insurance information, and we’ll be happy to check your benefits for you at no charge.
