Meet Dr. Katie King

Welcome to my page!  My name is Katie King and our patients call me Dr. King. Good thing since we already have a Dr. Katie (Bales). I am thrilled to be part of the Bales Orthodontics team and currently work in our Santa Rosa and Novato offices.

I am a Bay Area native who spent eleven years at the University of Southern California completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and Orthodontic residency.  Upon graduating, Dr. King received the Harry L. Dougherty award for clinical excellence, which is an award given to the resident who demonstrates the highest achievement in clinical orthodontics. I was also awarded for my research on digitally-facilitated orthodontics, which was published on the cover of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
In my free time you will find me hiking around Marin, training for marathons, and skiing.  I have played soccer my whole life and continue to play in a league in Marin.  In fact, I met my fiance on the soccer field!

I am a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. I am happy to be back in the Bay Area creating beautiful, healthy smiles.
